He took his first steps on May 7th. And now he can stand up by himself in the middle of the room and take off walking. He walks everywhere and is quite fast when trying to escape Mommy or Daddy. He thinks it is funny to be naughty. Seriously... he does naughty things on purpose and laughs. He has a deep hearty laugh that seems so funny for a baby his age.
Some days he is a piglet and other days doesn't eat much. Some of his current favorites are: Peanut butter & jelly sandwich, freeze dried fruits & veggies, most any kind of noodle meal, refried beans & chips, hummus.
He babbles a lot and is adding new sounds frequently. His new words/sounds: bubble, puhpuh (purple), boo (blue), ssssssssss (hisses like a snake), a vroom-like sound when he plays with a toy car. He loves to clap, wave and point and say "da" for just about everything. He is typically a great napper and good sleeper these days - as long as he stays on schedule. He likes to climb on things. He wants to be in the middle of everything going on - though at times he will playing quietly by himself. His favorite thing is to jump on the bed with his bro. He enjoys being outdoors and tries to escape from our house and go on to the deck every chance he gets. He is becoming more and more animated and fun!
And since I didn't post last month, here is a pic of him at 13 months old just standing around. He was a pro at standing for awhile before he decided to take his first steps.
