Brothers

LittleBigMan sure does love his little brother...

I hope these two grow up to be the best of friends.

1 week old

I can hardly believe it's been a whole week since this sweet little boy entered our lives...

35 months old

I haven't posted much about LittleBigMan, though he has been doing & saying lots of fun stuff lately...

A few of the things he loves right now...
His little brother - gives him LOTS of hugs & kisses
Playing with Daddy
Taking pics with my old camera
Daddy's iTouch - he has lots of cool educational apps for toddlers on there
Money to put in his piggy bank
Puzzles
Doing things for himself - he's becoming quite independent
Singing... random made up songs (it's quite funny when he does this)
Enjoys getting food for our dog Chloe
Helping me take care of his little brother

A few of the funny things he has said lately...
Calls his pinkie a "pinkie bink"
Told his Dad "Here's the problem, no more tickling"
Picked up one of my sarcastic sayings and will randomly say "that's shocking"
Says "That's so fluffy" in a crazy voice (like on the movie Despicable Me)
When he can't reach something in the pantry says "That's too up high"

My baby will be 3 years old in less than a month.  I am reminded daily to cherish these times as they sure do fly by.

Day 3

It's hard to believe we are already on day 3 of life with a newborn.  Here is our little blonde cutie...

Our newly expanded family (not so easy to get a good pic with a newborn & ornery almost 3 year old)

Brothers

We're all a bit tired, but otherwise everything is going well with all of us!

It's a ...

BOY!
Born at home this morning at 1:20 a.m.
Weight: 7 lbs., 15 oz.  Length: 20 1/4"

Birth story... we had been planning a home birth with my amazing midwife, Dotti.  Labor started up around midnight and began to progress VERY quickly.  Everything went so fast that Dotti wasn't able to get here before it was time to push.  Luckily, she was able to talk Troy through everything he needed to do to "deliver" our baby.  Everything went smoothly for myself and baby... and Daddy is our hero!!!  He stayed calm and did a great job of keeping me calm as well.  Some of the medical personnel of our volunteer fire department even came over just after the baby was born in case the baby needed oxygen.  It was comforting to have them here while waiting on my midwife.

We are all still in shock as to how fast this baby came into the world.  All is well here, we're just a bit tired. Here are just a few pics we took.  (We'll be adding more soon.)

39 weeks pregnant

Here I am with only 1 week until my due date-

You know it's about time when maternity shirts can no longer cover your belly!

With my first pregnancy, I felt so good up until I went into labor that I wasn't sure if I would ever have my son.  This time I've been having lots of Braxton Hicks contractions, which makes me feel like I could have the baby any time now.  I know it's likely that I will (atleast) go to my due date, but you just never know.  I am excited to meet this new little baby whenever he/she is ready!

And just for fun... the soon-to-be big brother

He still says he wants the baby to be a boy and he says we should name the baby "monkey".  We haven't really settled on names just yet, but hopefully we find something a little bit more human than "monkey".

Laughter

Laughter is the best medicine

37 weeks pregnant

Here I am... a mere 3 weeks from my due date-

I've been sewing & knitting away at several baby items.  I think we have everything we actually need for the baby.  But in many ways I feel totally unprepared to be a mother of 2!
