Happy birthday, Grams!

In celebration of my mom’s birthday on Sunday, we spent the afternoon at her house. My sister and nephew were here visiting. It was nice for my mom to have all of her grandsons there on her birthday!

Weekend visitors & celebrations

Some of my family came to visit this past weekend.  It was really nice getting to see them & for them to meet Baby Z!  While here, we celebrated LittleBigMan turning 3 with a birthday party & the arrival of Baby Z with a baby shower.  My lovely cousin, Kasey, hosted the baby shower at her home (where we also celebrated LittleBigMan's birthday).  Here are some photos from the day...

3 years old

LittleBigMan turned 3 today.

Here's a day in the life of my 3 year old birthday boy...

I woke up to find him eating this interesting combo - crackers and Ovaltine.  When asked why he was eating Ovaltine with the crackers, he told me "the peanut butter is too way up high for me".  (He couldn't reach the peanut butter in the pantry)

I told him that today is his birthday and that we are going to have lots of fun today.  He got very excited, clapped his hands and ran to me.  He hugged me and said "Thank you for my birthday!".

Then he had fun in the bath.

We went to the library to enjoy storytime for the first time in several weeks.

He enjoyed the stories, songs and especially BUBBLES!

Then we went to lunch and even got some some ice cream.

Next up was a trip to the mall to enjoy the indoor playground since it was too cold to play outside.

He made 2 new friends and had so much fun.

On the way home he fell asleep.  He was exhausted!

Once Grandma & Daddy got home we ate some dinner & some yummy cupcakes.  Of course we sang happy birthday... and he loved blowing out the candles.

Lastly, it was present time. He got some money, a big Buzz Lightyear, a clock puzzle & a rocking horse.  He loved it all.

We had the party at Kasey's house.  Many thanks to the gracious hostess and her beautiful kiddos!


... after the party we ate dinner at a great restaurant and the kids played on some of the rides at the Penny Arcade.

All in all, it was a pretty good day for our LittleBig2YearOld!

T-W-O

A day in the life of a TWO year old...

Woke up happy


Ate some "o-gurt" (yogurt)


Used the potty


Brushed teeth with his new big boy toothbrush and toothpaste


Spent part of the morning at a really fun place called MyGym


(His favorite part was definitely the ball pit)


Had his 2 year old check-up with the pediatrician
(Still a shortie at 32" tall.  Only 26 lbs. 2 oz., though he is not a skinny kid.  Overall a healthy and happy toddler!)

Ate lunch at Chick-Fil-A.  Even got some ice cream for dessert!


Took a nap in the car and then at home. Woke up grumpy until...

Happy to blow out the birthday candles and open presents.  Apparently daddy has been teaching him about blowing out the candles. Before I could even tell him to do it, they were out!

Had LOTS of fun all day... finally couldn't take it anymore and went to bed.
