Our Family - April 2015

S-E-V-E-N years old?!?!?

It is hard to believe that SEVEN years ago I became a mama. The time goes by too quickly, that's for sure. My little baby is growing up and becoming quite the awesome little boy. He is one thoughtful, athletic, loving, smart, kindhearted, silly, sweet... always-hungry, grouchy-when-he-doesn't-get-enough-sleep... otherwise mostly happy, basketball playing guy.

He enjoys riding his bike - he learned how to ride without training wheels shortly before his birthday.

He also likes...
playing video games (and would play all day if we let him)
cheeseburgers
making his own breakfast (usually cereal)
the color blue
watching anything on t.v. (literally anything - grass growing would get his attention as long as it's on t.v.)
playing outside
our neighborhood (and other nearby) parks
Lego's
Pho Ever & Queen of Sheba (Vietnamese & Ethiopian restaurants)
the color blue
his new fish name Dark Blue Fin
reading
Minecraft

He does NOT like...
the toys in the playroom (apparently he's too big for most toys now)
when ZZ or Ro break his Lego creations
doing schoolwork
superheros, Darth Vader or any other character that he previously adored

His birthday party...

Pinata time!

He had a fun day! He says it's pretty cool being 7 years old.

Happy 4th birthday, ZZ!

ZZ turned 4 in March. Yes, F-O-U-R!!! He is such a fun little guy. He is energetic and full of life. There is rarely a dull moment with this guy in our lives. He's becoming quite the good little helper - even helping in the kitchen at times. He is a good brother and he sure can make Ro laugh!

We invited family over to help him celebrate with a BATMAN birthday party...

And later that day... being silly with his brother!

He loves... and when he loves something, he LOVES it!...
riding his bike (shortly after his 4th birthday he learned to ride his bike without training wheels!!!)

Batman and Robin
the color dark blue
yogurt
going to the park
playing with Ro-di-dee-do (the nickname he made up for his baby brother)
following his big bro around and trying to do everything he does
Lego's
homemade tortillas
Chuck E. Cheese
playing Lego Star Wars on the Wii
playing with his toy airplanes that he got for his birthday from Grandpa & Grandma Rhonda
"potatoes" (tomatoes)
music and dancing
cheeseburgers
... he recently started playing soccer - it was a rough start, but now he has fun.

He does NOT like...
super loud noises (though his own high pitched screams don't seem to bother him)
having to take a nap
going to bed
getting left out of ANYTHING his big brother is doing
a few vegetables, though overall he's a good eater

Happy 1st birthday, Ro!

This is over 5 months late... oops. Where does the time go?
In November, our little cutie turned 1.

We had a simple celebration with family members...

All in all, a GREAT day to turn 1!
