We had the party at Kasey's house.  Many thanks to the gracious hostess and her beautiful kiddos!

... after the party we ate dinner at a great restaurant and the kids played on some of the rides at the Penny Arcade.

All in all, it was a pretty good day for our LittleBig2YearOld!

A full day

We had a pretty full day today.  The boys are getting along well and had fun playing together this morning.

We went to Garden of the Gods for a little while (until it started raining).

We ate lunch and then went to Wal-mart for a little birthday gift shopping.  I nearly had to drag the boys away from the fish tanks.

We had lots of fun at the park.

Then we met up with Troy for a super yummy dinner at one of our favorite restaurants. YUMMY!

The boys were feeling super silly after dinner...

When we got home, the guys (minus a super sleepy LittleBigMan) took a hike.  Overall it was a busy but fun day!

Family visiting

LittleBigMan is one lucky ducky this week.  Not only did have a great birthday yesterday (and will surely have a fun party on Saturday), he will also get to see some of out of state family this week.  Troy's mom, nephew Andy and nephew's son Brendon are here through Sunday. (My mom's sister is also in town, though we haven't seen her yet.)  He's already having lots of fun with his cousin Brendon.  Here are a few pics from this evening:

Granny G (G.G. for short) reading Five Silly Monkeys to the boys

This book was a gift from our friends Kevin & Tanya.  Both boys seem to LOVE this book.

All of the boys playing Little Big Planet

Hopefully the weather will cooperate and we can do some fun stuff outdoors (including LittleBigMan's party) while they are here.

T-W-O

A day in the life of a TWO year old...

Woke up happy

Ate some "o-gurt" (yogurt)

Used the potty

Brushed teeth with his new big boy toothbrush and toothpaste

Spent part of the morning at a really fun place called MyGym

(His favorite part was definitely the ball pit)

Had his 2 year old check-up with the pediatrician
(Still a shortie at 32" tall.  Only 26 lbs. 2 oz., though he is not a skinny kid.  Overall a healthy and happy toddler!)

Ate lunch at Chick-Fil-A.  Even got some ice cream for dessert!

Took a nap in the car and then at home. Woke up grumpy until...

Happy to blow out the birthday candles and open presents.  Apparently daddy has been teaching him about blowing out the candles. Before I could even tell him to do it, they were out!

Played with his new toys.

Took a photo with Mama.

Did a little bit of Wii yoga with daddy.

Played with bubbles.

Had LOTS of fun all day... finally couldn't take it anymore and went to bed.
Sweet dreams LittleBigMan!  I hope the next year is full of as much fun and learning as this past one has been.

Can you believe this little guy...

used to be this little guy?

Newly tiled bathroom

Did grouting on Sunday...

Sealed the grout and the floor is COMPLETELY finished today!

Tiling Time

Next in line for our Home 2010 Project... tiling the bathroom floors.  We are starting in the master bathroom.

Removed the toilet... picture to show the lovely yellow that the bathroom used to be.  The photo really doesn't do justice as the yellow is VERY bright.  I'll be painting that before we put the toilet back in place.

Putting down the backer board

Measuring  and getting ready to cut the tiles

Cutting tile for the very first (but not last) time

Spreading the mortar to begin laying tile

We are about 1/3 of the way done laying the tile... then on to grouting.  I love the way the tile looks so far.  It will definitely be an improvement over CARPET in the bathroom!
